ALBUM - Gangster

Gangster is a 2006 romantic thriller film. It stars Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Shiney Ahuja. The film was rumoured to be based on the life of mobster Abu Salem and former actress Monica Bedi, but director Anurag Basu has denied any similarities to any real characters or incidents. It was the debut of actress Kangana Ranaut.

 

Simran, who relocates to Seoul, is distraught when Daya, a gangster, re-enters her life. She has to make a choice between him and her lover Akash, who is a singer at an Indian restaurant.

 

The music is composed by Pritam. Saregama brought the music rights of the Film. The song "Bheegi Bheegi" is a modern re-creation of the song "Prithibi ta naki" by Moheener Ghoraguli.
